A simple drum which is simply made from stretching an animal hide over a wooden frame or hoop. The excess skin can be tied together at the back to form a handle for the drummer. Traditionally played with a drum beater by native peoples in North America. Today this drum is used in various types of healing work, drumming groups, drumming circles and private sound therapy. Primordial Percussion frame drums are made from locally harvested elk hides wrapped over a one piece wooden hoop. They are available in four sizes and at this time are only made to order.
