A new drumcircle in the Stratford community which promotes African drumming in a drumcircle format. All levels of experience are welcome. Traditional African drumming techniques will be learned and practiced at each event. Equiptment will be available for those who do not own their own drum, all types of drums and percussion instruments are welcome. It is recommended that all interested drummers use the Meet-Up website we have created to stay well informed of dates and other specific's which may come up. Currently all these events are held on Saturday nights at Studio Oasis which is located at 291 Lorne Ave. East Stratford, Ontario. Just click above to become a member. Primordial Percussion Handmade African Djembe(12"x25")
Special Price $350   $250
Brand new djembe drum.  Handmade by Primordial Percussion in 2007.  Fitted with premium goathide from BurkinoFaso and has been shaved by hand.  Roping is good Canadian quality but was fitted with black runner ropes and orange/blue ring ropes, so it is a little off visually for my tastes at least.  The shell has been handcarved in Thailand by special order. Elephants and trees are carved around the entire drum. This is one of two drums left like this in my stock so I would like to clear it out and will most likely not be building any more like this again. 
Overall condition - EXCELLENT
Skin condition - EXCELLENT
Rope condition - GOOD (rings are alittle sloppy and a few more vertical ropes would have made tuning a little easier)
Shell condition - GOOD (has some small surface cracks on base of the drum, very minor and have not spread over past year)

Elephants and trees are carved around the entire drum. This is one of two drums left like this in my stock so I would like to clear it out and will most likely not be building any more like this again. 
Overall condition - GOOD
Skin condition - EXCELLENT
Rope condition - GOOD (rings are alittle sloppy and a few more vertical ropes would have made tuning easier)
Shell condition - FAIR (has a deep crack about 2" long on the base of the drum, the crack is not all the way through but is visable from the outside of the drum. Also has some minor scuffing from being shipped around in my trailer over the summer)
Primordial Percussion Ghanian African Djembe (14"x25")

Used drumcircle drum. Fitted with BRAND NEW premium goatskin from BurkinoFaso. As you see in the picture I have not shaved the skin yet and would be willing to leave the hair on if someone likes the muffled sound and the extra padding. Roping is the standard African rope, nothing fancy. The shell has been handcarved in Africa by special order. YingYang type logo on one side and a antelope type creature on the other.  Has has some vents cut out of the bottom for sound release while playing upright.
Overall condition - FAIR
Skin condition - EXCELLENT
Rope condition - FAIR (This rope tends to be weak, but they make up for it by using a whole lot around the rings)
Shell condition - FAIR (Has had alot of use over the years in my drum circle programs. Dented and scuffed.  She is structurally strong, it's just a visual thing.  With a bit a sandpaper and some paint this drum could be brought back to life.)

Brand new ocean drums.  Fibreglas rims and plastic skins. Was not happy with the quality on this product.  Sound is good but the skins can get broken easy if not played carefully. Discountinued product line.
