Primordial Percussion's Stratford based community drum circle promoting African drumming in a drum circle format. All levels of experience are welcome. Traditional African drumming techniques will be learned and practiced at each event.  Djembe drums and various percussion equiptment is available for those who do not own their own drum. All types of hand drums and percussion instruments are welcome. It is recommended that all interested hand drummers use the Meet-Up website. This keeps everyone well informed of dates, cancellations and other information. Currently all these drum circle events are held on Saturday nights at Studio Oasis which is located at 291 Lorne Ave. East Stratford, Ontario. Just click above to become a member. Djembe Drum Repairs - Currently we offer drum repairs for djembe and all other types of natural rawhide skinned drums. Our speciality is African djembes. We charge $110 flat rate for most drums, some exceptions may be made for small djembes. The fee includes; replacement of drumhead, replacing old or damaged tuning ropes and tuning the new drumhead (we use only the finest African goatskins from regions like Guinea and Senegal). Please contact us if you have further questions or would like to arrange a pickup or delivery of the drum.

Drum Tuning - We can assist you in learning to tune your drum or can provide the service for you if you feel it is something you do not want to do yourself. Our fee is normally $20 per drum.

Drumskins - Are you looking for really high quality drumskins? We offer a premium selection of top quality hides from local and foreign sources.

Goathides from Guinea. $50 per hide (average size fits most 14" drums)

Elkhides from Canada. $150 per hide (very large just imagine an elk)

Cowhide from Ghana. $150 per hide (very large full grown cows)
